Using our website is generally possible without providing personal data. If you enter personal data, e.g., for contacting us or subscribing to a newsletter, we only share the necessary information with companies that process data on our behalf (e.g., for sending newsletters). Encrypted Transmission

Newsletter
You can subscribe to our newsletter via our website. To do this, we require your email address and confirmation that you agree to receive the newsletter.
Once you have subscribed, we will send you a confirmation email with a link to verify your registration. Data processing is based on legal provisions (§ 96(3) TKG and Article 6(1)(a) (consent) of the GDPR).
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by sending an email to speaktome@germanteacherkaty.com or using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the newsletter. We will promptly delete your data related to the newsletter subscription.
The newsletter is sent via “Brevo,” a brand of Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany. Your email address, registration date, and the IP address used will be stored on Brevo’s EU-based servers (mainly in Germany and France). Brevo uses this information to send and analyze the newsletter on our behalf. Brevo also optimizes its service but will not share your data or contact you directly.
The newsletters contain tracking pixels or redirected links for statistical analysis to determine whether you have read our newsletter and which device type you used.
We have signed a data processing agreement with Brevo, in which Brevo commits to complying with the standard contractual clauses defined by the European Commission. Brevo’s privacy policy can be found here.
Server Logs
The server hosting this website stores information automatically transmitted by your browser in so-called log files. This includes:
- Browser type and version
- Operating system used
- Referring page (URL)
- IP address of the accessing computer
- Time of the request
These data are used solely for technical monitoring of the web server (load, optimization, error detection, security) and are necessary for this purpose. They are not combined with other data sources and cannot be assigned to specific individuals. The data are deleted after three months.
Data processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) (legitimate interests) of the GDPR. The legitimate interest is the proper and secure functioning of the website.
Use of Zoom for Consultations
We use the Zoom online video conferencing solution for consultation calls. Zoom is provided by Zoom Video Communications Inc., San Jose, 55 Almaden Boulevard, 6th Floor, CA 95113, USA.
When using Zoom, conversation contents (audio and video) are encrypted so that only participants can access them. No recordings are made.
However, Zoom processes other information, such as your entered details (name, phone number, email address) and automatically collected data (IP address, MAC address of your device, operating system, client software, camera, microphone, and speaker type, whether you transmit audio via phone or VoIP, and whether you participate with or without video). The meeting duration, your name in the session, and chat content are also processed.
Data processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) (contract fulfillment) and Article 6(1)(f) (legitimate interests) of the GDPR. The legitimate interest is the simple and effective execution of online meetings.
Zoom stores data only as long as necessary for providing the service or for the other mentioned purposes.
We have signed a data processing agreement with Zoom, in which Zoom commits to complying with the standard contractual clauses defined by the European Commission.

Google Fonts
We use fonts from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, on our website. When you view our site, your browser downloads these fonts from Google.
Google Fonts are used without registration, and no cookies are sent to Google. If you are logged into Google while visiting our site, your Google account data is not transmitted. Google only collects font usage data and stores it securely.

Data Storage
For accounting purposes, we store the following customer data: name, address, phone number, email address, VAT ID, and, if applicable, bank details for direct debit authorization (SEPA mandate). This data is not shared except with banks/payment service providers for billing purposes and our tax consultant for accounting and legal obligations. Data is stored exclusively within the EU.
These data are required for contract fulfillment. Without them, we cannot enter into or fulfill a contract.
All contractual data are stored for up to 7 years due to tax regulations.
Storage occurs:
- On encrypted, password-protected local computer systems or portable devices.
- In encrypted, password-protected cloud solutions by Google Drive (Google Ireland Limited, Dublin 4, Ireland), stored exclusively on EU-based servers.

Your Rights

If you believe your data is being processed unlawfully, you may file a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority.
